Lori Nesbitt

High School Science

I joined the Lena High School staff as the science teacher in fall 2018. In the past, I have taught at Case High School in Racine, WI, Marquette University’s summer Upward Bound program, and Denmark High School in Denmark, WI.

I am a graduate of Oconto High School in Oconto, WI, Michigan Technological University with a B.S. in Forestry and a minor in Speech Communication, and UW-Green Bay with a B.S. in Biology with minors in Environmental Science and Secondary Education.

I am licensed to teach broadfield science (601), biology (605), environmental science (615), physics (625), and Earth science (635).

I grew up on a small dairy farm just outside of Oconto where I participated in 4-H at the heels of my two older sisters until I was old enough to show at the fair on my own. I enjoy challenging myself, and in 2013 I ran, without having ever run anything before, the Rock ‘n Sole Half Marathon in Milwaukee, WI as a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through their Team in Training program. I enjoy medieval history, martial arts, hunting and fishing, woodworking, and gardening among many other hobbies.
